Why every company needs a marketing toolbox! (Part 2)

This month we take another peek inside the marketing toolbox to discover more marketing activities that we can employ to promote our business and raise awareness of our offer.

Networking – imagine being able to converse 1 to 1 with people who might be interested in your product/service or who know someone else who might be? Intelligent networking is a really cost effective way of marketing. Use Google to find your local networking events.

Email Campaigns – yes we are all sinking under email but.. if you make your email relevant and interesting to your target audience it will be read.

Direct Mail – how many letters do you receive? There is a place for direct mail, again so long as it is relevant and interesting.

Special offers – give people a reason to buy from you BUTdo not do anything that is going to have a negative impact on your bottom line. The key to this is an offer with perceived value!

Testimonials – what your customers say about you is SO much more powerful than what you say about yourself. Ask for testimonials and use them in your marketing at every opportunity!

Online directories – lots are free, do some research and get your business listed!

Pay Per Click (PPC) – if you know what you are doing PPCcan be a very cost advertising method, for every £ you spend you can be generating income. Start with a small budget and experiment to see what works and what doesn’t – just altering one word can make a huge difference to the success of your campaign.
